FORT WORTH, Texas — AgTrust Farm Credit is awarding ten $2500.00 scholarships to students in Texas and New Mexico and will make $500.00 donations to the winner’s local FFA chapter or 4-H club.
The scholarship application required an essay showing the role of agriculture and natural resources played in student’s lives now and in their futures. Applicants also shared examples of their academic performance, leadership and community outreach.

Scholarship winners include:
Karleigh Erramouspe, Corona High School, Corona, NM, will attend Oklahoma State University and major in Landscape Architecture.
Taylee Sours, Texico High School, Clovis, NM, will attend West Texas A&M University and major in Ag Business and Economics.
Braden Fuentes, Artesia High School, Artesia, NM, will attend Oklahoma State University and major in Animal Science, Pre-Veterinary Medicine.
Jackson Bragg, Salado High School, Salado, Texas will attend Texas Tech University and major in Agri-Business.
Garrison Pieniazek, Frenship High School, Ropesville, TX, will attend Texas A&M University, College Station and major in Animal Science.
Elena Gonzales, Medina Valley High School, Natalia, TX, will attend Texas A&M, Kingsville and major in Rangeland and Wildlife Management.
Justin Hill, Hill Homeschool, Dumas, TX, will attend Texas A&M, will attend College Station and major in Agricultural Systems Management.
Bryce Bain, Artesia High School, Artesia, NM, will attend Oklahoma State University and major in Agriculture Economics.
Kyleigh Stephenson, Elida High School, Portales, NM, will attend Texas Tech University, and major in Animal Science, production.
Luke Anderson, James Madison High School, Seguin, TX, will attend West Texas A&M University and major in Plant and Soil Science, minor Ag Education.
